The Lone Island Town used to be a major location of oil extraction and oil industry in Dongying City, Shandong Province. Nowadays, the site has been overexploited and is eager to be redeveloped for a new metabolic loop.

In the context of the modern development of the Yellow River Basin for pollution control and reactivation, this project is the brownfield remediation of the contaminated site to create a park that looks for balance between ecology and activities. The step development concerning eco governance will be the starting phase for land treatment, followed by the activity development and culture insert promoting the native humanity features, culture preservation and oilfield culture popularisation. The treatment uses a phased opening of activated park areas, which is an adaptive solution for eco-diversity and sustainability. This approach ensures that inhabitants have zones with different activity frequencies and ecological concentrations.
